The 6th
International Climate Change Adaptation Platforms Meeting

Date: November 19th (Thu) - 20th (Fri), 2026

Venue: National Institute for Environmental Studies, Tsukuba, Japan

Aims of the meeting

  • ⮚ To share knowledge and experience on developing and operating national and international information platforms.
  • ⮚ To share recent tools, initiatives, and approaches for supporting climate change adaptation through information platforms.
  • ⮚ To exchange experiences on capacity development and monitoring and evaluation to enhance climate change adaptation.

Background of the meeting

Since the first meeting in 2018 — at which experts operating cutting-edge climate change adaptation information platforms from other countries and regions were invited to share their insights and advice with a view to strengthening A-PLAT (launched in 2016) and launching the new AP-PLAT (subsequently launched in 2019) — this series of meetings has expanded its scope and participants, accumulating a wealth of experience in knowledge sharing. Following the fifth meeting in 2024, this sixth meeting will serve as a forum for sharing the latest initiatives and insights for further advance climate change adaptation.
