気候変動の影響への適応-未来のために今はじめよう!

7Working together for the generations to come

Thank you for reading this far.

We’re happy you’re learning about the impacts of climate change and how to adapt, for the sake of everyone on our planet today and future generations. If we didn’t know anything about the impact of climate change, we’d be helpless and defenseless.

As long as we know, we can take steps to prepare ourselves and adapt. There are probably some impacts we don’t yet know, and technologies for adaptation that haven’t yet been invented. We believe that if each of us takes a look at our lives, commits to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and prepares to adapt, we face a bright future ahead. We need to understand how each of us -- at home, on the street, at work and as consumers and producers -- can leave a smaller footprint. You can learn more about mitigating and adapting to climate change, and you can reach out to others and encourage them to take action. The goal is to reduce our environmental footprint.

We hope that the environment of 30 or 50 or even 100 years down the road is better than today. That will happen only if we take action today.
