The group is assessing the impacts of climate change on their business and implementing various adaptation measures, such as enhancement of the management system and renovating the facilities, to ensure the steady supply and to minimize the effects on consumers' lives even in the events of natural disasters.
Measures against Natural Disasters
The Nisshin Seifun Group has been implementing measures against water-related disasters at their business sites throughout Japan. At the business sites where the impacts from floods and surge are expected according to the result of analysis based on the hazard maps, they formulated response and procedure manuals, and they are checking the effectiveness by conducting emergency drills.
