Adaptation activity
In 2012, Climate-ADAPT was established as a partnership between the European Commission and the European Environment Agency to support climate-change adaptation in Europe (fig.). Climate-ADAPT provides information on projected climate change in Europe, vulnerabilities based on current status and projected future impacts in different regions and adaptation areas, cross-national and EU adaptation strategies, case studies of adaptation strategies and potential adaptation options, and tools to support adaptation planning.
Outputs / Expected benefits
The European Union Climate Change Adaptation Strategy showcases the functionality of a one-stop shop for adaptation information in Europe, with Climate-ADAPT information providing a key element in decision-making.
