"Climate Change to Be Sensed by You" VOL.1 Tsukuba Science Laboratory 2017

Date of the meeting November 18, 2017
Venue

"~Climate change you feel ~here!?? Japan Islands"

As part of its activities this fiscal year, A-PLAT Secretariat conducts a simple survey of awareness of the impacts of climate change that everyone feels familiar with, such as at events held by National Institute for Environmental Studies.
This time, we will report on the results of the Tsukuba Science Laboratory 2017-Science and Environment Festival-held in Tsukuba City on Saturday, November 18.

Survey at Tsukuba Science Laboratory 2017

The project involves asking people to choose from four options: "the time of autumn leaves" (during the summer, when the cherry blossoms bloom), "the heat of summer," "how it rains/typhoons," and "how it snows," and to attach stickers to each of the items that they feel the most changed or worried about.
The results are as follows. Incidentally, the weather in Tsukuba City on this day was cloudy, with an average temperature of 7.8°C, a maximum temperature of 9.4°C, and a minimum temperature of 6.0°C for a total rainfall of 0.5 mm. (From Meteorological Agency's historical weather data)

How do you think about it? In this survey, we had a lot of rainy days from summer to autumn this year, so it may have been the result that "how to rain/typhoon" stickers were most commonly affixed, followed by "summer heat" being the second most common.

Please let me hear your voices again in the future.
