We report the results of the "Survey on the Awareness of Adaptation to Climate Change Impacts."

Your impressions and opinions

"Adaptation" that we can do individually

• I would like to know more specifically about the measures and activities that children and themselves can take in their immediate lives.
• I wanted to know more about what each person could do for fever and infectious diseases.
• I thought it would be better to be aware of the global warming and climate change directly linked to our lives and to be able to broaden the range of adaptation as much as possible.

Policies and Administration on Adaptation

• I was wondering what the Climate Change Adaptation Centre itself was doing.
• I was surprised to learn that they are making various efforts nationwide. I want to know more about the effect.
• I would like to know how to prioritize adaptation policies.
• I've seen the city's infrastructure (disaster prevention) on television, but I wanted to actually see it.

Studies on Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation

• I learned a lot because I could explain about the adaptation of rice in detail.
• I would like to know the mechanism by which guerrilla torrential rain occurs.
• Coral reefs were found to be affected.

Creating original picture scrolls

• I thought it would be a good opportunity for small children to be interested in adapting to environmental problems.
• I was surprised by the method of communicating it in a compact way as an imagi.

Other

• Climate change tends to focus on negative factors such as disasters and product declines, but it has been possible to understand the positive aspects of climate change (e.g. warm local fruits), so we would like to learn more about this information. I want young people to take an interest in it.

Many respondents expressed a desire to learn more specifically about the familiar "adaptation measures" that they can do on their own. In addition, many participants expressed their opinion that efforts should be made to address climate change not only through adaptation measures but also through mitigation measures.
